1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Cat Champions. It may include the following categories.

Account and Registration Information

We may collect information associated with creating, maintaining, securing, or verifying an account, including:

• email address;
• username and account identifiers;
• character names and character identifiers;
• authentication and account-verification information;
• email-verification status and related timestamps;
• account creation and login information; and
• records showing acceptance of our Terms, policies, or other agreements.

Gameplay and Character Information

We collect and maintain information generated through gameplay and use of the Service. This may include character statistics, levels, experience, skills, items, currencies, Treats, achievements, trophies, jobs, fights, opponents, rewards, purchases, transaction history, leaderboard information, progression, game actions, cooldowns, and similar game-state information.

Some gameplay information, such as character names, profiles, statistics, achievements, leaderboard positions, or other game activity, may be visible to other players as part of the Service.

Communications and User Content

We may collect and store communications and content submitted through Cat Champions, including:

• Global Chat messages;
• direct messages;
• profile comments and other player-to-player communications;
• reports submitted about other players;
• messages sent to Staff or moderators;
• support requests; and
• other content voluntarily submitted through the Service.

Communications made through Cat Champions should not be considered private communications with Cat Champions. Authorized Staff may review communications when reasonably necessary for moderation, safety, support, security, fraud prevention, enforcement, investigation, or legal compliance.

Technical, Device, and Log Information

When you access Cat Champions, our systems may automatically collect technical and usage information, including IP address, browser and device information, session information, access and request information, login activity, diagnostic information, and server or security logs.

This information may be associated with an account, character, session, or other identifier where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, or protect the Service.

Security, Anti-Cheat, and Fraud Information

Cat Champions may collect, generate, and analyze gameplay, account, session, technical, security, and transaction information for purposes including detecting and investigating cheating, automation, exploitation, account sharing, fraud, circumvention, abuse, security threats, and violations of our Terms.

This may include information generated through your interactions with the Service, security and gameplay telemetry, reports, investigation records, and other information reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, security, and fair operation of Cat Champions.

Cat Champions may use automated, statistical, and manual methods to identify activity for review or investigation. To protect the effectiveness of our security, fraud-prevention, and anti-cheat systems, this Privacy Policy does not describe specific detection methods, signals, thresholds, or investigative techniques.

Payment and Transaction Information

When you purchase Treats or other paid digital content, payment information may be collected directly by a third-party payment provider such as PayPal.

Cat Champions may receive and retain information relating to the transaction, such as:

• payment or transaction identifiers;
• payment status;
• amount and currency;
• date and time of the transaction;
• the Cat Champions account or character receiving the purchased content;
• payer information made available to us by the payment provider;
• refund, reversal, dispute, or chargeback information; and
• fraud-prevention or risk information associated with the transaction.

Payment providers process payment credentials according to their own privacy policies and security practices. Cat Champions does not require you to provide full payment-card credentials directly to Cat Champions when those credentials are collected by the payment provider.

Information You Provide to Us

We may also collect information that you voluntarily provide when contacting support, reporting a problem, appealing an enforcement decision, reporting another player, participating in an investigation, requesting assistance with an account, or otherwise communicating with Cat Champions.

2. How We Collect Information

We may collect information:

• directly from you when you register, communicate, make a purchase, or otherwise provide information;
• automatically when you access or use the Service;
• through gameplay and interactions with Cat Champions systems;
• from other users who submit reports or communications involving you;
• from payment providers in connection with transactions, refunds, disputes, or fraud prevention; and
• from service providers assisting us with operation, hosting, security, communications, or support.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through Cat Champions to:

• create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts;
• operate the game and maintain character and game-state information;
• provide features, communications, leaderboards, achievements, purchases, and other functionality;
• verify email addresses and account ownership;
• process and record purchases and delivery of Virtual Content;
• provide transaction receipts and related communications;
• respond to support requests;
• moderate chats, direct messages, profiles, and other community features;
• detect and investigate cheating, automation, exploits, account sharing, fraud, abuse, and other violations;
• enforce our Terms, purchase terms, and other policies;
• detect, investigate, and prevent security incidents;
• identify and correct technical problems, bugs, and errors;
• maintain backups and protect the integrity of game data;
• analyze the operation and performance of the Service;
• protect Cat Champions, its users, Staff, and service providers;
• resolve disputes and investigate payment reversals or chargebacks;
• comply with applicable law, court orders, legal process, or lawful government requests; and
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. Cookies, Sessions, and Similar Technologies

Cat Champions may use cookies, session identifiers, browser storage, and similar technologies that are reasonably necessary to operate the Service.

These technologies may be used to keep you signed in, maintain your selected character or session, protect against unauthorized requests, remember necessary preferences, secure accounts, prevent abuse, and provide game functionality.

Blocking or deleting necessary cookies or browser storage may prevent some portions of Cat Champions from functioning correctly.

5. Online Tracking and Do Not Track Signals

Cat Champions does not itself use personal information to track users across unrelated websites for behavioral advertising, and Cat Champions does not sell personal information for behavioral advertising purposes.

Third-party services used for specific functions, such as payment processing, may independently collect or process information through their services, including through cookies or similar technologies where applicable. Their collection and use of information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Some browsers provide a “Do Not Track” or similar privacy signal. Because there is not a universally accepted standard governing all such signals, Cat Champions does not currently take separate action in response to traditional browser Do Not Track signals.

6. How We Disclose Information

Cat Champions does not sell or rent your personal information.

We may disclose information in the following circumstances.

Service Providers

We may provide information to vendors or service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as website and server hosting, infrastructure, data storage and backups, email delivery, payment processing, security, fraud prevention, and technical support.

We provide such parties only the information reasonably necessary for the applicable service, subject to the provider's role and applicable legal requirements.

Payment Providers

Information necessary to initiate, verify, reconcile, refund, investigate, or otherwise manage a payment may be exchanged with the applicable payment provider.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may preserve or disclose information where we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to:

• comply with applicable law or valid legal process;
• respond to a lawful request from a court, government agency, or law-enforcement authority;
• investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms;
• protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Cat Champions, its users, Staff, or others; or
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Business Transfers

If Cat Champions or substantially all of its relevant assets are sold, transferred, reorganized, or acquired, information associated with the Service may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Public and Player-Visible Information

Information you intentionally make available through public or player-visible portions of Cat Champions may be viewed by other users. Depending on the feature, this may include character names, profiles, comments, rankings, statistics, achievements, or chat messages.

7. Information Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including operating the Service, maintaining game and account records, providing support, enforcing our Terms, maintaining security, preventing fraud and ban evasion, resolving disputes, complying with legal obligations, and preserving legitimate business records.

Different types of information may be retained for different periods.

For example, some temporary session or technical information may be retained for a relatively short period, while account history, transaction records, enforcement records, security records, Terms-acceptance records, fraud-prevention information, or information necessary to establish or defend legal claims may be retained for a longer period.

Information may also remain temporarily in backups, archives, logs, or disaster-recovery systems after it is removed from active systems.

We may retain limited information after account deletion when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or abuse, enforce prior restrictions, maintain transaction or accounting records, comply with law, resolve disputes, or protect the Service.

8. Account Information, Access, Correction, and Deletion Requests

You may contact Cat Champions to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account.

We may need to verify that you are the account holder before processing a request. Verification may include confirming control of the account or its verified email address or requesting other information reasonably necessary to prevent unauthorized access to account information.

Some information may not be deleted immediately or may be retained where reasonably necessary or permitted by law, including records relating to payments, fraud, security, abuse, enforcement, legal obligations, disputes, or the establishment or defense of legal claims.

Deleting certain information may require closure of the associated account because some information is necessary to operate the Service.

9. California Privacy Information

California residents may have privacy rights under applicable California law. The particular rights available to you depend on the law applicable to Cat Champions and the circumstances of the request.

Where required by applicable law, those rights may include rights to request information about personal information collected about you, request correction or deletion of certain information, and receive information regarding how that information is used or disclosed.

Cat Champions does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

You may submit a privacy request to support@catchampions.com. Cat Champions will respond to legally valid requests as required by applicable law and may take reasonable steps to verify the identity and authority of the person making the request.

Cat Champions will not unlawfully discriminate against a user for exercising a privacy right provided by applicable law.

10. Children Under 13

Cat Champions is not directed to children under 13 years of age.

A person under 13 may not create or independently operate a Cat Champions account unless Cat Champions has expressly implemented a legally compliant parental-consent process permitting such use.

Cat Champions does not currently offer such a parental-consent program.

If we obtain actual knowledge that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 in circumstances requiring parental consent and such consent has not been obtained, we will take reasonable steps to address the account and delete or otherwise handle the information as required by applicable law.

A parent or legal guardian who believes that a child under 13 has provided personal information to Cat Champions may contact support@catchampions.com.

11. Security

Cat Champions uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, destruction, or misuse.

However, no website, server, database, network, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and should not share your account with another person.

If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact Cat Champions promptly.

12. Third-Party Services

Cat Champions may contain or interact with services operated by third parties, including payment providers.

Those services may collect information directly from you and operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Cat Champions does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party services.

13. International Users

Cat Champions is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from another country, information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations in which our service providers operate.

Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws of your country. Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits rights that applicable law does not permit you to waive.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Cat Champions may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, our practices, technology, or applicable law changes.

When we update the Privacy Policy, we will update its effective date or version. Where required by law or appropriate because of a material change, we may provide additional notice through the Service, by email, or through another reasonable method.

We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
